Grassley frustrated over Prop 12 exclusion from Senate farm bill

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says he’s disappointed Senate Ag Committee Chair John Boozman does not plan on including a solution for Proposition 12 in the Senate farm bill.

“This bill is the best opportunity that we have to solve this issue for farmers, so I hope the Chairman will reconsider that decision.”

Boozman recently told Brownfield while he supports undoing Prop 12, the measure does not have the bipartisan support needed to be included.

Grassley says.

“It’s got to be in the farm bill or it won’t get done. It’s pretty simple.”

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield if Boozman does not change his mind, a Prop 12 amendment could still be added in committee.
