Grassley praises One Big Beautiful Bill ahead of final House vote
Lawmakers in the U.S. House have advanced President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill to a final vote.
While the House continued debate on the legislation Thursday morning, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says the Senate’s version includes key wins for farmers and ranchers.
“Including tax provisions like 199A,” he said. “It also prevents a dramatic increase in the death tax rate.”
The Iowa Republican says the bill includes necessary cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.
“To make sure food assistance goes to those who truly need it,” Grassley said. “I share Chairman (John) Boozman and Senate republican goals of eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.”
President Trump recently gave Congress a July 4th deadline to pass the bill.
