H5N1 continues to spread in Iowa

Another case of H5N1 Influenza A has been reported in Iowa.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship says the disease has been detected in a commercial turkey flock in Sac County. In a statement to Brownfield, the agency said 46,147 turkeys were impacted.

It’s the state’s third case of H5N1 in poultry this year, while dairy cattle herds are up to eight detections.
