Harvest winding down for Kentucky farmers
Harvest continues without weather disruptions for most Kentucky farmers.
Harvest is 92 percent complete for corn and 75 percent complete for soybeans.
Tobacco is 52 percent stripped; 55 percent is rated good to excellent.
Winter wheat is 65 percent planted, 41 percent emerged, with 73 percent rated good to excellent.
Pasture conditions have declined again this week, and ponds are low as precipitation has been sparse. Hay supplies are rated 69 percent adequate and 8 percent surplus.
Topsoil is called 38 percent adequate and 1 percent surplus; subsoil moisture is 40 percent adequate and 1 percent surplus.
