Hinson lauds Trump’s E15 waiver

A U.S. Representative from Iowa says President Trump’s emergency waiver allowing E15 sales this summer was the right move.

Republican Ashley Hinson says had recently led a letter to the administration asking for the waiver.

“Thank you to the Trump administration for following through on the commitment to our Iowa farmers and producers by allowing that sale of E15 nationwide over the summer.”

She tells Brownfield the waiver process is frustrating, and more work needs to be done to help give the industry some certainty.

“I will continue working with the administration and my colleagues here in Congress to expand the use of biofuels. I see this as American energy dominance, getting a permanent solution across the finish line.”

Hinson says consumers shouldn’t be restricted when making their choices at the pump.
