House approves Water Resources Development Act

Port of Monroe, Michigan.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Water Resources Development Act.

WRDA has been passed on a bipartisan and biennial basis since 2014 and helps the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers make investments to improve the nation’s harbors, inland waterway navigation, and other aspects of the nation’s water resources infrastructure.

The legislation is supported by more than 200 industry stakeholders.

The bill now moves to the U.S. Senate for approval before heading to the President’s desk for signature.
