How autonomy is revolutionizing ag productivity
The founder and CEO of Sabanto Ag says autonomous technology is making the ag sector more productive.
Craig Rupp says new AI technology can help farmers who don’t want to buy new equipment.
“You’re going to see autonomy over the years being more and more prevalent, and I’m seeing it on a smaller scale, farmers going to smaller, smaller power units, letting them longer hours,” he says. “I see a future where horsepower is reduced.”
He tells Brownfield autonomy could also help address labor issues in agriculture.
“We’re already witnessing farming operations that are reducing their labor because they opted for autonomous systems versus H2A workers, and we’re seeing it,” he says. “We’re seeing it right now.”
The technology can be utilized on several different operations, including row crop and organic farms.
