Human tests positive for H5N1 in Colorado
A human case of H5N1 Influenza A has been confirmed in Colorado.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the virus was detected in a dairy farm worker where cows had previously tested positive. The individual only reported eye symptoms and has since recovered.
The CDC says it’s the fourth human case of avian influenza, and there has been no sign of unusual virus activity in people in affected states.
