Illinois Pork Producers install new president
The Illinois Pork Producers Association is under new leadership. Pam Janssen began her duties as President of the Illinois Pork Producers Association on Tuesday at the IPPA annual meeting and pork expo.
“Our vision at this point is to help expand our foreign markets and also to try and keep young people interested in this industry to we can keep it going.”
Janssen tells Brownfield she is most looking forward to keeping her staff and producers informed with the most up to date information to keep them safe.
Janssen has been involved in the pork industry for over 30 years and she and her family have a 200-head farrow to finish operation in northern Illinois. Janssen is only the third woman to serve as the IPPA President.
Brownfield interviewed Janssen at the Illinois Pork Expo in Springfield.
