Inari Agriculture permanently lays off 64 employees at West Lafayette, Indiana location

A biotechnology facility in West Lafayette has permanently laid off 64 employees.

Inari Agriculture, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, uses artificial intelligence to improve yields in corn, soybeans, and wheat. The company’s West Lafayette facility focuses on product development and gene-editing technology. 

In a notice filed to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on January 20th, said changing business needs are the reason for the reduction.
