Indiana ALP to host group from Ontario

Members of the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program will host a group of Canadian agriculture professionals.

31 members of the Ontario Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program will be in Indiana July 8 and 9 as part of their international study program.

During the 2-days they’ll see a cross section of Indiana agriculture, from touring Dow AgroSciences, to meeting with staff at the National FFA headquarters, to learning about the Enough Movement at Elanco Animal Health. On Tuesday, July 8, members of the AALP will seeing how corn, soybeans and Christmas trees are raised in Indiana during a visit to Dull’s Tree Farm in Boone County.

“Welcoming our Ontario AALP guests to Indiana and sharing our homes provides such a tremendous opportunity to develop lasting relationships that bridge our national borders.”  says, Beth Archer, executive director, AgrIInstitute.  “We are so excited to have the chance to show off the greatness of Indiana and our agricultural industry.  Our time together will allow us to learn from each other.”

The Ontario AALP is a 19 month executive development opportunity for individuals involved in Ontario’s agriculture and food industry, similar to Indiana’s Ag Leadership Program.
