Indiana FFA and National FFA launch Grow With Us Program

The Indiana and National FFA Organizations have launched Grow With Us, a program that aims to expand ag education across the state.

Ambra Tennery is the associate director of educational programs for the National FFA Organization.

“More individuals including students, parents, administrators, guidance counselors, and community members will understand the importance of agricultural education and the benefits that it provides,” she says.

She tells Brownfield ag education also helps students with career development.

“This is the part of agricultural education that has been unique to ag ed since the beginning of the 1900’s when SAE, or Supervised Agricultural Experience, was established,” she says. “Students not only got the core instruction from the classroom, they also applied it to workplace learning.”

The program is supported by a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc.
