Indiana native crowned 2025 Miss American Angus
A southeastern Indiana teen was crowned the 2025 Miss American Angus during the recent American Angus Association Awards Dinner and Reception in Fort Worth, Texas.
Rosalind Kidwell is from Gentryville, Indiana.
“I’m a fifth generation angus breeder,” she says. “I’ve been involved in showing angus cattle since I was little. The first time I ever showed with an adult in the ring, I was three or four. I’ve always been around angus cattle.”
She tells Brownfield the role is an opportunity to share the importance of agriculture.
“Having that tie to the ag industry and finding out that Miss American Angus isn’t just a role model for the junior association, but it’s also an advocation role,” she says. “You’re speaking up for the ag industry and the beef industry.”
Kidwell will spend the year traveling the country promoting the initiatives of the American Angus Association.
