Indiana soybean checkoff donates soy-based Goodyear tires
The Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana soybean checkoff program are donating soy-based Goodyear tires to four organizations across the state.
Goodyear is partnering with the United Soybean Board, the national soybean checkoff program, and the Indiana Soybean Alliance to replace petroleum made tires to increase tire flexibility and reduces energy consumption.
The farmer nominated recipients include Cultivate Food Rescue, nominated by Joe Stoller of Bremen; Noble Transit Service, nominated by Tom Griffiths of Kendallville, Ind.; Putnam County Sheriff Department, nominated by Mark Legan of Coatesville, Ind.; and Hamilton Fire Department in Jackson County, nominated by Kevin Burbrink of Seymour, Ind.
Goodyear has a goal of replacing all petroleum-driven oils in their products with soybean oil by 2040.
