IndyCar and Indiana Dairy team up to reach thousands of state fair visitors

One of the Indiana State Fair’s most popular food stands is helping highlight the state’s dairy industry.

Brooke Williams with the American Dairy Association Indiana says the organization’s partnership with IndyCar is helping introduce thousands of fairgoers to dairy. 

“With the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, people know about the drink of milk,” she says. “To come to the Dairy Bar, all of the products coming out are local Indiana dairy products. It’s also supporting our Indiana dairy farm families. The more people that we can introduce dairy farming to, the better. This is an easy way to do it.”

IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly,  one of this year’s celebrity servers, says the Dairy Bar is a staple of the Indiana State Fair experience.

“I’ve been coming to the Indiana State Fair since I was in a stroller,” he says. “It’s a part of our community and a part of our lives. ADAI has been so supportive of us, so it’s been a lot of fun.”

Instead of paying for lunch, the drivers’ window at the Dairy Bar served as a collection point for the Gleaners’ Milk Drive, which will use funds to help provide milk to local food banks.
