INFB Health Plans reaches 10,000 people covered milestone
Indiana Farm Bureau says their health care coverage is addressing a significant need in rural communities.
Health Plans Manager Steve Allen says it is the fourth year of offering coverage. INFB Health Plans is now covering more 10,000 people.
“Our farmer community came to us 5 or 6 years ago asking for assistance and if we could somehow start offering health plans again as we did pre-Obamacare,” he says. “We were able to work with the state of Tennessee to implement our plan.”
He tells Brownfield their health coverage offerings have helped attract new members.
“About 75% to 80% of our clients are enrolled in the traditional health plan with about 15% for just dental or vision,” he says. “We have a small amount of clients who sign up for our Medicare supplemental plans as well.”
