InfoAg 2009 opens Tuesday in Springfield, Ill.

One of the premier precision farming events opens Tuesday in Springfield, Illinois. Organizer Harold Reetz says InfoAg 2009 features at least 60 speakers and presentations showcasing what’s new in farm technology.

“The biggest thing that people say they get out of it is the networking because we have people there from virtually every state in the United States and usually about 15 other countries,” Reetz told Brownfield Wednesday.

Many commercial exhibitors attend InfoAg, held every two years since 1994, but producers are bound to run into someone to provide just the technical answer they’re looking for.

“Learning firsthand from somebody that’s already tried something; if you can find somebody there that’s already doing what you’re looking at and they can tell you what works and what doesn’t work and how to make it work,” said Reetz, “that’s a very valuable thing.”

Registration for the three day conference is online at InfoAg.org.
