Initial USDA FSA acreage numbers out Monday

The USDA Farm Service Agency’s initial 2019 acreage numbers are out Monday, August 12th. The data includes planted area, prevent plant acreage, and failed acres, and will be used to determine eligibility in several USDA programs, including Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage. The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will use the FSA numbers to complement its survey results for the updated crop production numbers, also out Monday, along with new World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates from the Office of the Chief Economist. All three reports are scheduled for release at Noon Eastern/11 Central.

More acreage numbers from the FSA are scheduled for September 12th, October 10th, November 8th, and December 10th, all at 3 Eastern/2 Central, with a January 2020 update at a yet to be determined time.
