Iowa’s Grassley praises progress following Trump’s China trip

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley is encouraged by President Trump’s recent visit to China.

The Iowa Republican says there’s good news for farmers.

“On top of its soybean commitment, China will purchase at least $17 billion each year of ag products. And it will restore access to beef and poultry products.”

He says he’s hopeful the newly created U.S.-China Board of Trade and Investment will benefit American producers.

“Solving U.S., China trade issues, and that includes removing China’s export control on fertilizer and long-standing unfair trade practices.”

According to a White House fact sheet, the Board of Trade will enable the U.S. government and China’s government to manage bilateral trade across certain goods.
