ISU students receive National honor
A team of students from Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (ISU) was named the top National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) student chapter inthe nation for the second consecutive year. The team received the award at the association’s annual conference and trade show last week in Atlanta, Georgia.
The ISU team also participated in NAMA’s annual marketing completion advancing to the semi final round beforeelimination by the eventual winner, the University of Florida. Overall, thirty student NAMA chapters participated in the competition.
As part of the annual competition students develop a plan to successfully bring a product or service to the marketplace. The ISU teammarketed Immunattain a maternal colostrums replacer for dairy calves. Teams submitted a written plan and made a formal presentation of their marketing plan which was judged by a panel of marketing and agribusiness professionals.
