Kansas corn rated 63% good to excellent

The USDA says most of the corn crop in Kansas has emerged.

As of Sunday, 63% of the state’s corn crop is rated good to excellent.

Soybean conditions are rated 72% good to excellent with 73% of the crop emerged.

Sunflowers are 69% planted, ahead of the five-year average of 61%.

The state’s winter wheat harvest is well underway with 28% of the crop harvested, ahead of the five-year average pace of 8%. Thirty-nine percent of the crop is in good to excellent condition.
