Kentucky farmers press through wet conditions for harvest

Warmer and wetter weather last week didn’t cause too many delays for Kentucky farmers.

The USDA says harvest is 95 percent complete for corn and 83 percent complete for soybeans.

Tobacco is 56 percent stripped.

Winter wheat is 74 percent planted, 56 percent emerged and rated 34 percent good to excellent.

Topsoil is called 70 percent adequate to surplus while subsoil moisture is 63 percent adequate to surplus.
