Kentucky firm recalls 11 tons of beef

A Louisville, Kentucky-based food distributor is recalling more than 11 tons of beef products after company tests showed possible E. coli contamination.

The company, Creation Gardens, produced the beef products on May 31st, and June 1st and 2nd. They were shipped to foodservice locations in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.

The company notified government inspectors of the positive test results on Monday. USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) says the products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
