Keystone’s Propane with Purpose turning energy deliveries into school lunch support
An Indiana-based cooperative is turning its energy deliveries into local donations.
Lindsey Sankey, director of public relations at Keystone Cooperative, says Propane with Purpose is helping rural communities fight food insecurity by reducing school lunch debt for students.
“We’re all about giving back to areas that matter to our farmer members,” she says. “Our farmers are part of producing the safest, most abundant food supply in the world. How can we give that back and redistribute those funds in the areas that need it.”
She tells Brownfield the initiative showcases the company’s commitment to supporting the community growth.
“For every propane stop made, every delivery made, Keystone is donating $0.50 into our Keystone Charitable Foundation,” she says. “Our goal is raising $150,000 into the foundation.”
