Ag equipment manufacturer Kubota has broken ground on a $30 million equipment test center in Salina, Kansas.

The company says the investment will expand its engineering testing and product development lines for off-highway equipment that includes its construction equipment.

In a statement, Brian Arnold, general manager of Kubota’s North America Manufacturing Unit, says the expansion strengthens their supply chain, accelerates development and improves parts availability and service.

The 57,000 square foot facility is the next phase that expands the Construction Equipment Research and Development North America (CERDNA) operation established in 2021.

The company did not indicate when the expansion would come online.
