Leaders of biofuels plants urge Trump to stand by RFS

Leaders of 150 biofuel production plants in the U.S. are urging President Trump to continue to strongly defend the Renewable Fuel Standard.

The letter is signed by plant managers, general managers and CEOs and nearly every member of the Renewable Fuels Association.

Their letter says there is “no way to cut, cap or eliminate RINs without cutting, capping or eliminating gallons of homegrown fuel” referring to the proposal by oil-state Senator Ted Cruz to cap RINS at 10-cents.

Their letter asks Trump to reject “efforts by Senator Cruz to destruct renewable fuel demand and harm consumers” across the country.
