Low snow cover a concern in Minnesota

December was a quiet month for many Minnesota farmers.

The USDA says there are concerns about a lack of snow cover in parts of the state, with temperatures generally warmer than normal and precipitation near average.

Livestock conditions are called generally good and fieldwork during the month was limited.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume in April.
