Minnesota FFA to hold new State Leadership Conference
Minnesota FFA will host a new State Leadership Conference next month.
FFA president Lauren Stoel says the move begins to address the challenge of meeting its growing membership needs during Minnesota’s State Convention in April.
“We’re going to be holding all of our Leadership Development Events, so all of those competitions focused on leadership, along with a bunch of workshops and fun college tours in conjunction with St. Cloud State University.”
She tells Brownfield most of the Leadership Development Event contests have typically been at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds during Convention, but construction will limit access in the spring.
“So we decided to split it up for at least the next couple of years, we’ll see if this turns into a normal thing. But holding all of our Leadership Development Events and focusing on building up that leadership in our members here in December, and then have the rest of our competitions at State Convention in April.”
The Minnesota FFA State Leadership Conference will be December 9th and 10th in St. Cloud.
