Missouri Corn CEO welcomes Trump’s take on E15, warns details still matter
The CEO of the Missouri Corn Growers Association says it’s good to see President Trump is ready to sign legislation allowing the sales of E15 all year, nationwide.
But Bradley Schad tells Brownfield, “it’s not over until it’s over. We don’t want anything added to the package that’s out there that would be harmful to us, so we’ll be monitoring that.”
House Republicans have established an E15 Rural Domestic Energy Council to study E15 and draft language, and Schad says…
“We hope this process will go through in a quick timeframe and by February 25, if not before, we’ll have the outcome of what we agreed to in December.”
Missouri Congressman Mark Alford is on the council and Schad says the group of lawmakers is expected to meet again on Thursday.
Brownfield interviewed Schad at the Missouri Corn Annual Meeting in mid-Missouri.
