Missouri crop conditions continue to run well above year-ago levels

Corn and soybean conditions in Missouri continue to run well above year-ago levels. 

As of Sunday, Missouri’s corn was rated 79% good to excellent, a 1% decline from last week, with 64% of the crop dented and 7% mature.  Soybeans are rated 80% good to excellent, a 3% improvement from last week, with 74% of the crop setting pods and 1% dropping leaves.

Cotton is rated 58% good, with 80% setting bolls and 2 percent bolls opening. Rice is rated 73% good to excellent, with 90% of rice headed.

The state’s pasture and range conditions are rated 79% good to excellent, and the third cutting of alfalfa is 72% complete.
