Missouri Dairy Hall of Honors selects 2023 winners
The Missouri Dairy Hall of Honors has recognized a new class of leaders for their contributions to the state’s dairy industry.
Third-generation dairyman Sean Cornelius milks 120 cows and farms 1,200 acres in Hamilton. He received the Dairy Leadership Award for his work creating Missouri Dairy along with his dedication to the Missouri Dairy Industry Alliance and other state agricultural organizations.
Hiland’s director of operations Greg Helbig also was named a Dairy Leadership Award winner.
The Distinguished Dairy Cattle Breeder Award was given to Larry Wright of Wrightvale who milks 70 head of registered Holsteins and farms 340 acres of corn silage and hay.
Associate extension professor Scott Brown at the University of Missouri was honored with the foundation’s Meritorious Service Award.
The Missouri Dairy Hall of Honors also recognized Donald and Betty June Waterman, formerly of Williamstown, with the posthumous Pioneer Dairy Leader Award.
