Mizzou meat science lab moves toward July finish
The dean of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources at the University of Missouri says work on the Michael L. Parson Meat Science Education and Training Lab is on schedule.
Chris Daubert tells Brownfield “we’re putting in the finishing touches, equipment is coming in. The summertime will be spent building out the facility and preparing it for teaching.”
Work started on the facility last spring. Daubert says when completed, the facility will also be used to teach meat processing for anyone in the state who wants to learn.
“We’ve had such a tremendous support from Missouri agriculture and the livestock industry in our state.”
The education and training lab is named for former Governor Mike Parson and is expected to be completed in July.
