Oat planting is 90% finished, and 68% of the crop has emerged.  Eighty-four percent of the state’s oats are rated good to excellent, which is the same as last week.

Potato planting is 88% complete.

First crop hay harvesting has begun, with 20% of the early alfalfa now in the bunk.  That’s four days ahead of the five-year average.  The all-hay condition rating has 79% of the crop in good to excellent condition, up one point from last week.
