Muhlenkamp is the new Indiana FFA state president
Dillon Muhlenkamp is the new Indiana FFA state president.
Muhlenkamp, of Jay County FFA, said it was surreal to hear his name during the state officer election.
“I really couldn’t believe it at first— it’s something I’ve had my eye on for awhile now and being able to be up there standing in front of all of Indiana FFA it was such an amazing moment,” he says. “Indiana FFA has given so much to me over the past several years and now it’s my time to give back to the organization.”
He tells Brownfield he’s most looking forward to meeting with members across the state.
“when I go out on chapter visits I’ll have the ability to meet with all those different members and learn how everyone is involved in agriculture and how everyone is different,” he says.
Advice he has for younger FFA members is…
“If you like going to the FFA camps and conferences down at our leadership center then go to them,” he says. “Or, if you’re more of a career developmental event kid and you like to soil judge or livestock judge, then do those things,” he says.
Muhlenkamp plans to become an agricultural teacher.
