NASS to review major crop acreage ahead of production report
The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service could make adjustments to planted and harvested acreage numbers in its August 12th crop production report.
NASS says it will review survey data and new information from the Farm Service Agency and Risk Management Agency ahead of the report, with potential changes for most major crops, including corn, soybeans, cotton, rice, sorghum, and all types of wheat.
Acreage for a number of crops will also be reviewed for the September and October reports.
