Nebraska DNR Director announces resignation

The head of Nebraska’s Department of Natural Resources is stepping down.

According to Gov. Jim Pillen’s office, Tom Riley is taking a job in the private sector and will depart the agency on Aug. 2. Riley was appointed as director of DNR in November 2020.

The governor’s office says an interim director and appointment of a new permanent director will be announced later.
