Nebraska FFA chapters benefit from Aurora Coop partnership
In addition to being a corporate sponsor of the Nebraska FFA Foundation’s “I Believe in the Future of Ag” fundraising campaign, Aurora Cooperative works closely with several of the FFA chapters in its marketing area.
One of those is the Franklin (NE) FFA chapter.
“They (Aurora Coop) came in and helped put together a letter campaign to some of our FFA alumni, and we raised quite a bit of money off of that,” says Franklin FFA advisor David Rocker, “and then we worked together with them to do a test plot here close to town.”
Aurora Coop provides the seed, fertilizer and educational agronomic resources for the test plot project.

Dawn Caldwell, corporate communication manager for Aurora Coop, says working with local FFA chapters is a win-win proposition.
“One thing that is really core among management, as well as the board members, is that we have someone to fill in after us,” says Caldwell. “We have a lot of really great young people out there and we want to be engaged with them so that they understand our company. But it also helps us understand what they’re learning in their classrooms, and if we can help influence that or be available as a resource.”
