Nebraska Soybean Board elects three members
The Nebraska Soybean Board has elected three new members to its board.
Elgin area farmer Anne Meis was re-elected to a fourth term in District 1. She says the industry is poised for growth as new crush facilities are built in the state.
Jay Hanson, of Mead, was elected to a first term in District 3. He says he looks forward to serving on the board and navigating through the challenging economic environment.
Mike Tomes, of Utica, ran unopposed in District 6 and will retain his position for another term. He says he’ll continue to look to build relationships with industry partners.
Each will begin a three-year term on October 1.
