No willingness to pass a farm bill?
A district director for Minnesota Farm Bureau suggests Congress has enough time but maybe not the willingness to pass a farm bill this year.
Fran Miron farms near Hugo and says producers need the certainty of a new farm bill…
“There’s certainly enough time,” he says. “I think the issue is the willingness. We’re seeing a significant amount of political maneuvering here.”
He tells Brownfield the farm bill should not be delayed by partisan politics…
“I would just hope that maybe service to the constituency in the ag community, which is in such dire need of a farm bill right now.”
Brownfield spoke to Miron during the Minnesota Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.
