Nonprofit Farm Rescue brings volunteer support to Missouri

Farm Rescue is now available in Missouri to help farm families going through tough times.
The nonprofit program uses volunteers and modern equipment to help families with planting, haying, hauling, harvesting and feeding livestock needs. Harvest assistance is available starting this fall in Missouri and other assistance is expected to follow. The help is done at no cost to farms who qualify.
The expansion to Missouri is supported by donors like John Deere, Anheuser-Busch and Nutrient Ag Solutions.
Farm Rescue is currently accepting applications for those in need of assistance. Once submitted, the nonprofit reviews the application and if approved, coordinates volunteer support and equipment.
The program is also available in several states, including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The organization was founded in 2005 and has helped more than 1,250 farm and ranch families.
