November soybean crush, corn for ethanol use numbers mixed
The domestic soybean crush maintained a relatively strong pace in November 2025.
The USDA says the monthly crush of 221 million bushels fell 15 million from October’s all-time high, but rose 11 million bushels from November 2024.
That faster-than-last-year pace is linked to plants trying to keep up with demand.
Soybean meal stocks were slightly lower than last year, while soybean oil supplies were up from the year before.
The November corn for ethanol numbers were narrowly mixed.
The USDA says 471.866 million bushels of corn were used for fuel alcohol production, 1% lower than the previous month, but slightly higher than a year ago, as processors absorb the record crop and attempt to meet demand.
Production of distillers dried grains with solubles was 1,753,232 tons, a decrease of 9% on the month and 5% on the year.
The USDA’s updated soybean crush and corn for ethanol use projections for the 2025/26 marketing year are out January 12th.
