Nutrien Ag Solutions launches Farmer 2050 to encourage the next generation of agriculture

The head of marketing at Nutrien Ag Solutions says a long-standing partnership with the National FFA Organization is an investment in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Brian Knifong tells Brownfield, “Farmers 2050 is a digital application where FFA chapters can have real interactions and real-life activity to try to simulate a real production agricultural system. It’s really important that we create that bench strength as we look to the future.”
Danny Carmony, Central Indiana division manager, says the company is also investing in local communities across the U.S.
“We do a lot of plot donations, and we work with them to help them understand what it means to grow a crop,” he says. “It gives us a chance to be right there with them. We’re supporting them, but we’re also giving them learning experiences for the future.”
The three chapters with the highest scores will receive a monetary donation of up to $1,000.
