Ohio corn grower elected to NCGA board

A newly elected member of the National Corn Growers Association says growing demand is one if his top priorities.

Ohio farmer Jon Miller says commodity prices are currently below the cost of production.

“Try to move the pile of corn any way we can grinding of course their livestock feed or try to grind for more ethanol or try to get our exports,” he says.

He tells Brownfield becoming involved in NCGA helps improve the industry.

“A joint voice with other growers, it’s hard to complain about something that you’re not involved, and the more grower members that we have involved and part of the organization makes us stronger,” he says.

Miller was elected for a three year term at the recent NCGA Corn Congress in Washington D.C.
