Ohio crops benefit from improved soil moisture conditions

Recent rainfall has helped recharge soil moisture in parts of Ohio. 

The USDA says topsoil moisture is 97 percent adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 83 percent adequate to surplus.  Five percent of oats in Ohio are planted.

Winter wheat is 63 percent good to excellent.

Corn and soybean planting has not started yet.
