Ohio Farm Bureau county leaders are in Washington D.C.

Just a few weeks after discussing policy issues with state lawmakers during Ag Day at the Capital in Columbus, Ohio Farm Bureau members are in the nation’s capital to discuss national policy issues.

Brandon Kern, the senior director of state and national policy with Ohio Farm Bureau, says “it’s a similar event but at the national level. We take all of our county presidents, our county leaders to Washington D.C.”

Kern tells Brownfield, “at the national level we’ll be talking more about things like the farm bill this year. It’s a chance for our farmer advocates to be on the turf of members of Congress and talk to them about how their policy initiatives impact operations back home here in Ohio.”
