Ohio soybean planting underway

Planters are moving in earnest in Ohio.

The USDA says eight percent of the state’s corn, 51 percent of oats, and 10 percent of soybean crops have been planted.

Winter wheat is rated 61 percent good to excellent, with 55 percent of the crop jointed.

Topsoil moisture is 17 percent surplus, and subsoil moisture supplies have a 13 percent surplus.
