Outstanding Youth Ag Awards presented at the Waushara County Fair
The Waushara County Fair wrapped up this weekend and WDUX, in conjunction with Brownfield Ag News, presented Youth Ag awards to two outstanding individuals at the fair. Phillip Putskey and Leah Johnson were chosen for their enthusiastic involvement in many aspects of the fair.
Phillip exudes an overall love of the farming industry and all the work that goes into it. He raises many different species himself and works in all aspects of farming—from the field to the barn. He is proud to be a member of the farming community. He’s been involved in the Waushara County fair for 10 years and is looking forward to the Farming Short Course program at UW Madison next year, and hopes to run his own hog farm one day.
Leah has been a part of the fair for 9 years and says that she has come a long way in that time. She works with pigs and has really enjoyed her time spent on hog projects. She is clearly appreciative of all the fair has helped her learn and achieve and plans to head to St. Norbert next year where she will major in Accounting & Spanish.
WDUX is proud to present these Outstanding Youth Ag Awards to Phillip Putskey & Leah Johnson.
Congratulations to you both!
