Parson to lead trade mission to Japan

Missouri’s governor plans to make agriculture a priority during his upcoming trade mission to Asia.

Mike Parson says meat quality in the U.S. stands out above competition from Brazil and Australia.

“People over there are starting to probably buy a better grade of meat altogether, so, I think that really opens the door for us here in Missouri or here in the United States,” he says.

The trade mission is slated for the beginning of October and Parson says is the first time a Missouri governor has traveled to Japan in several decades.
