Planting remains slower than usual in Wisconsin

Wet conditions remain a problem for Wisconsin farmers.

Soybeans are also 87 percent planted, one day off the usual pace.  Emergence is 75 percent, and 73 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

The first cutting of alfalfa is 61 percent complete, close to normal, with the hay condition declining to 79 percent good to excellent.
