Pork Checkoff scholarships

Pork Checkoff

The Pork Checkoff is awarding 21 scholarships to university students around the country as part of a strategy to develop the next generation of people for the pork industry.  Recipients were selected based on scholastic merit, leadership activities, involvement in the pork production industry and future plans for a career in pork production.

The top honor of a $5,000 scholarship goes to Kaylen Baker of Yukon, Oklahoma, an animal science and ag communications major at Oklahoma State University.

A $3,500 scholarship is awarded to Matthew Romoser of Keota, Iowa, an animal science major at Iowa State University.


$2,000 scholarships are awarded to the 19 remaining recipients including:
